Stem Cells

After finishing our papers, which I will post about after this one, we began a discussion on stem cells and their potential future in medicine. Stem cells are harvested and then have the capability to be grown into something different. We started watching a movie in class which brings up the question of ethical meaning and morality of the use of stem cells. We will finish the movie next class and I will be be able to write a more full insight on it.






For homework we were asked to read an article and look at an interactive website. The article talked about retrod\viruses and their use in the body, rejuvenating normal body cells using the same idea of stem cell therapy, and also induced pluripotent stem cells.
