Mitosis in Onion Roots

In this class, we used the acquired skills from the lab with the animal and plant cells to examine onion root cells under a microscope.

The goal of the lab was to find the different stages of mitosis in the cells and sketch/describe them in the activity sheet provided for us.

We were looking for cells in prophase, metaphase, anaphase, and telophase.

Here are different pictures of the onion root slide in the varying phases of mitosos: (pictures not taken by me)
